The Magic of Acupuncture
The fundamental theory of Chinese Medicine is based on the notion that human is part of nature. We are at our best when our natural energy are balanced. To rebalance our natural energy and heal , acupuncturists place needles at the surfaces of the body. Unlike most people would think, acupuncturists do not always place the needles at where the aliments are. The different abilities of acupuncturists decide their effectiveness in treatments by choosing different acupuncture points based on their accuracy of diagnosis. The effect can be instant and "magical" with some patients. |
The Joy of Herbs
Chinese has been using natural herbs to treat variety of diseases for thousands of years. The doctor would choose a complex set of herbs to create a formula that is best for the patient's overall health in the long run. The result can be very powerful. However, it depends on the doctor's appropriate diagnosis based on symptoms showing at that specific time. It is highly individualized and it is also time sensitive. In a certain way, every prescription of herbs is like a piece of art designed for a special customer with the right material, color hue, and tone. Depends the patient's situation, one of the three different forms of herbs are suggested: dried processed raw herbs or powdered herbs mixed together to create a formula; pilled or capsuled herbs. |
Other Modalities
Beside herbs and/or acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine also integrate with other modalities, such moxibustion, cupping and Gua Sha.
